What Happens

One Hour On Court.

01

Warm Up & Set Goals

Start with a warm-up and a conversation about your game.

02

Show Your Skills & Decisions

Work through basketball skills, guided situations and live play.

03

Reflect & Plan

Finish with a short reflection. Your written profile follows coach review.

We look at how you handle pressure, make decisions and apply skills in the game—not just how you perform a drill.

What You Receive

A Clear Starting Point.

Your coach-reviewed Baseline RISE Profile explains your strengths, two development priorities and a recommended training pathway. It includes a RISE Score, evidence across six development pillars and an initial 12-week focus.

Your family can review the recommendation before deciding whether to join. Once your portal profile is set up and your evaluation is released, you can view the feedback in your athlete portal.

Illustrative Example · Not An Actual Athlete Result

A Look Inside Your Baseline Profile

This short example shows how observations become a training plan. Your actual profile is completed individually after coach review.

Two Strengths

  • Protects the ball with the strong hand against guided pressure.
  • Communicates on defence and responds to coaching feedback.

Two Priorities

  • Build control when changing direction with the weaker hand.
  • Recognize when a help defender creates a passing opportunity.

Next Training Focus

Practise controlled changes of direction, then apply them in small-sided games with a pass-or-finish decision.

Coach reviews the full evidence to recommend an appropriate group and training frequency.

What Happens Next

Turn Feedback Into A Pathway.

  1. Review Your Profile. Understand the observations and discuss your priorities with RISE.
  2. Choose Your Training. If you join, RISE confirms a suitable group. Membership determines frequency; coach assessment guides placement.
  3. Train, Apply & Review. Work on your priorities, use them in games and review progress to plan the next step.
How We Assess The Whole Player
01

Skill Adaptability

Adjust technique, footwork and control as the task and defender change.

02

Basketball Intelligence

Recognize space, timing and cues, then choose an appropriate response.

03

Advantage Creation

Create and use an offensive advantage through shooting, finishing and decisions.

04

Competitive Performance

Apply skills in live 3v3 and pressure competition.

05

Athlete Ownership

Show effort, composure, coachability and responsibility for the next step.

06

Defensive Impact

Contain, help, recover, communicate and finish defensive possessions.

Coaches combine skill activities, guided decisions and live play. The one-hour session includes 6 minutes of preparation, 18 minutes of skill assessment, 12 minutes of decisions, 20 minutes of live play and 4 minutes of reflection.

Evidence anchors range from 0 (not demonstrated) to 4 (transfer verified), with emerging, controlled and adaptable stages between. Written scoring follows coach review.

The RISE Score out of 100 summarizes the evidence. It is a development index, not a validated ranking, a prediction of future success or an automatic placement rule. The full profile guides recommendations; advanced placement also requires competitive-context evidence and coach review.
